The Alan Madden Foundation and the Rising Voices program have partnered with Guitar Center, the world's largest retailer of musical instruments, to offer free music lessons and instruments to foster youth, both past and present, of all ages.

Each student gets to choose from a pre-approved list of instruments which are donated to the student and they get to keep after they complete the program. 

We believe that music is therapy. Our music lessons are designed to be a therapeutic release for our students, giving them a healthy outlet. Studies clearly show that learning to play an instrument improves your math and reading skills, teaches you responsibility and perseverance, improves your listening skills and coordination, and gives you the opportunity to make new friends.
